The KL STARTUP SUMMIT website available through the domain “www.klstartupsummit.com” including its associated social media channels, mailing list, newsletters, and all information, data, images, and other content (“Website”) are properties of Pixaworks Creative Sdn Bhd (“Pixaworks” or “our” or “us”), a company registered under the laws of Malaysia, with office at No. 7-2-10, Danau Business Centre, Jalan 3/109F, Taman Danau Desa, 58100 Kuala Lumpur. By using this Website or participating in any events organised by KL STARTUP SUMMIT, you agree to be bound by all the terms in this Terms & Conditions. Please note that we reserve the right to amend this Terms & Conditions at our sole discretion, at any time in order to adapt to technical or legal developments or in order to offer new services or goods. The current version of our Terms & Conditions will be available for viewing on our website via the link “Terms & Conditions” at the bottom of the page. Do not use this Website if you do not accept these Terms & Conditions. Your continued use of this Website and/or purchase of ticket(s) is deemed as your acceptance of these terms and conditions.
All references to “you” or “your” or “user” or “buyer” as applicable, means the person that accesses, uses the Website, and purchases ticket(s) via the Website or through our ticketing patners. If you participate on behalf of a business or a company or partnership or limited lability partnership or organization or association (“Legal Entity”), you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind the Legal Entity and your acceptance of the Terms & Conditions will be deemed an acceptance by the Legal Entity and “you” or “your” or “user” or “buyer” herein shall refer to that Legal Entity.
All tickets are sold subject to these Terms & Conditions, and should be read carefully prior to purchase and any queries relating to them should be raised with Pixaworks prior to purchase, as purchase of ticket(s) constitutes your agreement of these Terms & Conditions. A valid Ticket must be produced to get into an Event. It is your responsibility to check your ticket(s) on receipt and contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org immediately if there is a mistake.
Price & Payment
The price of the ticket shall be the price set at the time we accept your order. All advertised prices are exclusive of any applicable taxes and transaction fees if any. In the course of registration and purchasing a ticket for the event, the buyer will be able to choose the preferred method of payment. For credit card purchases, the full ticket price is immediately charged to the provided card following successful purchase transactions.
Once a successful purchase transaction has been completed, the ticket is delivered in electronic soft-copy via email to the email address provided by the buyer. The ticket additionally serves as a receipt for the transaction and must be used to redeem entry at the event listed on the ticket.Refund & Cancellation Policy
All purchases of tickets for conferences and events are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend the Event through no fault of us, you may transfer the ticket to someone else via the ticket transfer feature provided by the ticketing platform.
Third Party Services
In the “KL STARTUP SUMMIT” website, you may be provided with hyperlinks to other Internet sites or resources, including hyperlinks provided by third party advertisers and sponsors to their products and services.
We have no control over those sites and resources, or over the advertising material presented by third party advertisers and sponsors. We will not be liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with use of or reliance on any such information, goods or services available on or through any such site or resource. Use of the hyperlinks and access to such third party websites are entirely at your own risk.
Intellectual Property Rights
Pixaworks is the proprietor of the “KL STARTUP SUMMIT” trade name and associated marks. All other trademarks, brand names, copyrights and other intellectual property rights of third parties that are published and depicted on this Website are the trademarks, brand names, copyrights and other intellectual property rights of the respective holders. No permission is given by Pixaworks in respect of the use of any of them and such use may constitute an infringement of the holder’s rights.
All elements of graphics, content, logos, designs, page headers, scripts, branding, and concept on the Website and/or bearing the “KL STARTUP SUMMIT” mark, logo or trade name are the property of Pixaworks at all material times. Users may only reproduce or use these content with Pixaworks’ express written permission.
Viruses, Malware and Errors
Whilst we make every endeavour to keep the Website free from viruses, we do not make any guarantee or representations that the Website is secure or free from viruses. You shall take the necessary steps to ensure appropriate security measures are installed on your device or computer and utilize a virus scanner before downloading any information, software or documentation form the Website.
You must not misuse our Website by knowingly introducing viruses, trojans, worms, malware or other material which is malicious or technologically harmful.
Limitation of Liability
Without prejudice to the foregoing, in the event of a court or tribunal holds or finds Pixaworks liable to you for any breach or default of the Terms & Conditions, you agree that the amount of costs, expenses and damages payable by Pixaworks to you or such third parties shall not at any time exceed the sum of your payment amount to Pixaworks for the ticket(s) at such time of that order, notwithstanding any order, decree or judgment to the contrary.
The courts of the Malaysia will have exclusive jurisdiction to adjudicate any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms & Conditions.
By submitting your personal information via KLSS Website, you have granted us approval to process your data for the conference usage. When you subscribe, register, make purchases or at other times, we collect and store personally identifiable information from you that includes, but not limited to your name, postal and email addresses, phone number, facts about your profession, company and information regarding your computer system. We reserve the right to request information from third parties (e.g. credit card information services) with regard to your payment behaviour in order to be able to offer you certain payment options.
Our privacy standards comply with Malaysia’s Personal Data Protect Act 2010 (“PDPA”). Your personal data is protected. All of the data and information that we receive is protected and only available to authorised personnel. We acknowledge and agree that any personal information may be processed or otherwise used by us to the extent required for use on the KLSS Conference Website and in accordance with the applicable law on the protection of personal data. Your personal data is used primarily to enable the optimum handling of orders, handle payments and to be able to operate our website and its related activities in a reliable and safe way.
Personal Information collected may be used by our sponsors and partnering third-party companies to provide you with certain features of the website, to enable us to provide the service you requested, to personalise content, to send you e-mail notifications about services and products, for audits and to perform statistical analysis of user behaviour.

Selected personal information of the user which includes attendees' names, companies, company logos and attendees designations, may be shared for the purpose of networking among the conference attendees. Your email address may be disclosed to selected group of attendees (e.g. Investors) for the purpose of making future business contact and arranging meetings. Unless specified and indicated to the organiser that you wish not to disclose your personal information, you agree to have the information published in the website and shared with the selected group of users.
We may make individual user information available to carefully selected third parties to send you information via email about their products or services. If you prefer not to have your personal information disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purpose, please email your preference to email@example.com. We will remove any registrant and their personal information from our database pursuant to a request from the registrant, or click unsubscribed on any electronic mailer you received from us.
